Hey beautiful people. I started my own venture after a eureka moment and 3 years of reading advice, learning to code, and learning photoshop. It made 1 sale in three days, then 100 in 3 months as I improved the logos, product selection, and such. I invested $0 and ran the venture all from profits through the dropshipping model. I took your advice and hired 2 VAs, one to fulfill orders/handle customer service, and one to develop/design the website. Its pretty much become a stable source of income (30-50% profit margin on each order).
HOWEVER
I had obtained a partner in the first weeks of starting up who happens to be my own suitemate. Huge mistake. Nothing bad has happened between us, but the complexity of our relationship causes me to not be able to express my full opinion and work to my fullest. I'd recommend against partnering with a friend, since the qualities that make a good business partner is so different from the qualities that make a good friend. I don't think I can continue doing this anymore, as I feel there is a ball and chain stuck to my ankle. Thus, I'm looking to cut the ball and chain loose, sell my business, and move on to another venture I already started on.
I've been on sites like flippa and other website selling places, but they have turned me down because my website hasn't reached 3 months in maturity yet (it will in 4 days though). I have all my system of order fulfillment processes written down and directories of products set up, as well as a solid facebook campaign (fine-tuned to 3 cents per engagement). My question is, where do I find people that would want to carry my profitable business onward and compensate me fairly for the work I've already put in? Are there any communities out there? And as always, thank you for your input.
