Did a mention on YouTube influenced your sales?

Hi everyone. I noticed that many YouTube creators mention sometimes brands not because they got paid, but because they recently purchased something or included the moment they bought something in their vlog. Did anyone here got mentioned and if yes, did it had any effect on sales?
