There are times in your business when all you can do is sit back and wait. (And I absolutely hate it)
By this I dont mean fold your hands and expect your business to magically grow. What I mean is you take care of a bunch of important tasks during a few busy weeks/months, and then all you can do is sit back, and wait for things to take course while you check up on it. Its sort of like casting out a fishing line and waiting for a bite. Sometimes its a few days, sometimes a few weeks, sometimes months. During this period you fill your time with small meaningless tasks and upkeeps that you never get around to when you are actually busy with important business tasks.
For example, right now I am waiting on a new store location deal to come through end of June. I am also waiting to hear back from a respected salesman I offered a job to a few days ago. A few other big projects are in the works. So now I am left to simply fill my time with meaningless small tasks. I cant wait for June, maybe I will miss these slow times. Those of you who hustle know you get a certain high when things are busy and business is moving. You get addicted to the fast paced, things going crazy, not enough hours in a day environment. You fall in love with it. You love work.
The reason I made this post is because if you follow any Instagram or other social media "entrepreneurs" you are bombarded with "work hard 24/7. Give all you got every single day. No time off! 5:00am, 12 hour work day, LETS GO!" and it gets pretty annoying because its literally impossible to do that every day, and not for lack of effort. It makes you question "do I work hard enough? Am I slacking?".
Unfortunately even if you have an insane work drive, the rest of the world doesnt fit your schedule and at times you cant do anything but sit back and wait.
