Today, I was invited to a meeting that I believed at-first to be a networking event for business owners. Within minutes of arriving however, I discovered that it wasn't a networking event, but instead a Network Marketing pitch.
Network Marketing is something I tried in the past, however I had absolutely 0 success with it. I marketed the products to hundreds of people, shown the plan to hundreds of people, and referred people to my up-line without any success whatsoever. I marked it as a loss, and moved on with life.
Today, however made me think. The leaders of the event were successful businessmen themselves, and I wondered to myself, "Why in the hell are they really doing this?". Is Network Marketing a scam? Or did I just have a bad experience? Why is it the only people I hear about being successful in network marketing are the leaders of the network marketing events themselves?
