How the f* do you keep getting traffic to your crowdfunding campaign?

A couple of years back when I wanted to make my home smarter I found it being very problematic with the solutions that were available. So I decided to make my own and it has been awesome working with it and we are now actually doing something that people would also like to buy. So we thought of putting our project on a crowdfunding platform to realize this. As an entrepreneur I knew that it wouldn’t come easy just by putting the campaign on Indiegogo and thinking that you will get funded directly, you need to work for that as well. But we are having problems getting traffic to our campaign. After we post something on forums then we get a few visitors which will cool down very fast again. How do you keep traffic pouring in? Any ideas?
