I have $10,000 (possibly more) to invest in starting a business or some other venture. What would you do if you had this money?

Just looking for viable ideas. I have a few that I'd love to toss around but would just like to get a feel for what other people would do in my situation.

A little about me: I'm a 23 y/o who works as a professional bartender/server

I have no formal education but I learn fast, have a lot of motivation and am willing to take some risks.

I've been pretty poor most of my life; come from a lower class family with drug addicted parents and I am doing much, much better than almost anyone in my family. I got $30k when my mom passed away and I have $20k left after helping my family out and moving. I'm trying to use this money to ensure that I am never poor again/can help my family.
