My first landing page and first attempt at validating a business

Hey guys so I recently read the 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss again 2 weeks ago and it really made me think about what I have been doing with my life. I was climbing the corporate ladder as a Software Engineer and life is going good by the normal standard but he helped me realize that the world is too big to sit in a cubicle.

The past 2 months I have been applying Agile methodologies towards non-software tasks in my personal life and it has been going extremely well. I have been more productive in the past month than I have been in the previous 3 so I think that it can help most other people. I feel like I can turn this into a lifestyle business.

My idea is to create tutorial videos on how to apply Agile, build an easy dashboard to have people track their tasks, and consult. Charge a few bucks a month to use the software and have access to the videos then charge extra for the consulting. I also had a cool idea to take customer goals and break it down using Agile on video so other users can see it happening in real time and potentially help them if they are trying to achieve a similar goal. I still don't have an idea what to charge people.

I found a few large blogs that cover Agile in personal life and a class that has sold over 3000+ subscriptions so I think there is a market for the product/service. I haven't been able to really figure out the target audience but I am just assuming that the target market would be professionals and business owners between the ages of 25 to 40. Hopefully when I launch the FB campaign it will help me figure that out.

It took me a few hours to build the landing page but it was way cheaper and more flexible than using a service like Leadpages.

I set up this landing page last night using:

  • Google Domains (domain name) $30
  • Digital Ocean (hosting) $5
  • Themeforest (HTML template) $15
  • Mailchimp (forms) free
  • Crazy Egg & Google Analytics (analytics) free
  • Node & NGINX (server) free

Feel free to sign up. I plan on delivering free content (webinars and ebooks) until I get more feedback to tweak the product into something that people want to pay for. I really believe that Agile can help improve most peoples lives as it has mine.

I haven't ran any campaigns yet but I just wanted to show this to you guys before I spent any money on ads. I am trying to stay as lean as possible. This is my first swing at this so I plan on making a lot of mistakes and learning from them.

Important things I need feedback on:

  • What to charge?
  • How do I figure out a target market?
  • What are the best ways to market my product?
  • Is the copy good on the landing page?
  • Should I tweak/change the design?
  • I am not a certified scrum master, should that matter?

Thank you guys! This subreddit has really helped me a lot.
