Prednisone/steroids & blood glucose - your experience?

I got a steroid injection and a 14-day course of prednisone for a raging skin rash (UGH). Prior to that my t2 diabetes had been under control with (keto) diet and exercise, my blood sugar varying between mid 60s and mid 90s even after eating.

I've read that one of the many bad side effects of prednisone/steroids is making your blood glucose skyrocket. Indeed, the evening after the steroid shot I was at 155, and today I woke up to 185. I'll check with my doc on Monday, but I figure this is a temporary, short-term side effect and I shouldn't freak out unless it gets up above like.. 220?

I want my good blood sugar numbers back! And for this rash to GO AWAY OMG AUUUGH.
