Question About Dropshipping Alternative Idea

Hey everyone!

Has anyone run into the issue of not having dropshippers available for a specific product?

I currently have this issue.

I know that the alternative is to buy the product(s) wholesale. But I have two issues with that:

1. I do not have the funds to buy them at wholesale because it requires a large buy.

2. I do not yet know if this product would be a hit with my website.

As you know, the two aforementioned issues wouldn't be present if there was a dropshipper available.

So I conjured up a solution (if you can even call it that) where the customers order via my website and I place the order with Amazon. I can just mark it up by $5 or $10 on my website.

That or I can just contact one of the manufacturers and ask them if they'd be willing to dropship for me?

What do you guys think? Terrible idea?
