The last 2 days have been the unluckiest in my life. I went on a 13 mile bike ride, and my tire popped in the last 2 miles. Later that day, a potential burglar may have been scoping out homes by posing as a home security man (or was just an aggressive salesperson), I got pooped on by a bird, I was never entered into a Smash Bros tournament I signed up for (and still ran the stream of), the stream's internet died several times, and THEN I was hit (0% my fault) in a sideswipe on my way home, and the person drove off before I could even look at their license plate.However...I could have been at the farthest point of my ride when my tire poppedI could have let that potential burglar into my home, or he may not even have been a thief. Just a committed ADT security man.The bird could have pooped on my face instead of the arm of my water-proof jacket. I thought my bad luck was over by this point, but it had really just begunSomeone who had driven much farther than I did could have been accidentally disqualified and had much more inconvenienceThere could have been a blackout instead of a few internet issuesI could have actually been hurt in the accident, and bystanders could have ignored it. But someone tracked the driver down afterward, found his plate number, and came back to the site of the crash to find me and get me the information, as well as gave me his own info so he could be my witness. My point is, things are never as bad as they could be. And events are just events - it's how you perceive them that affects your reaction. All these things are troublesome and annoying, but they'll all make for a great story, and I'm thankful that things are more or less fine and that people are there to help me. We all should try to find the silver lining in our inconveniences, it really helps make things more enjoyable.Just wanted to share this positive message despite all these unlucky events :)
