First off, I would just like to say that this sub has been and will always be amazing. There being an easy to navigate venue for those who are interested in working for themselves is truly a "blessing".
With that said, I believe there is something that needs to be addressed.
This community has launched some careers, ruined others, and kept many stagnant. I think it's important to remember that there is always a graduating and freshman class. Obviously this is Reddit, but that doesn't mean we can't recognize how some people are moving on and some are stuck here.
If you are stuck here, DON'T GIVE UP. If you have moved on, YOU CAN'T READ THIS.
If you are still here then you either enjoy the content or simply need help continuing your progress into the entrepreneur world. Sometimes what happens though is that the people educated enough to help you have moved on. So what happens? Bad advice is given / internet scolding.
The successful people who pop into this channel generally speaking don't stop in for some "treasured altercation". They stop in to help out.
The people seeking success who religiously use this channel to excel, maybe stop sucking so much out of the group and put something into it every once in a while.
I remember this channel having so much wise advice, so many success stories that weren't about self-promotion, and way fewer individuals that are overall just angry.
Not only can turn this around, but we can make it even better than it was before.
Thanks for reading!
- Potential Solution : More defined posting tags
- Potential Solution : Less freshman shaming
- Potential Solution : Graduating class "A post to thank" for all the help!
Obviously these are some hard things to ask for...but I figured the conversation need be opened.
