I thought of an app-concept to help people start and maintain great relationships (both in business and personally). Not sure if anyone other than me would want to use it, I'm curious what you guys think.

Hi, my name is Mahmoud and I love this subreddit. This is such a great community and I wish to share an idea I had with you guys.

So I just finished reading a book called How to talk to anyone, 92 tips for big success in relationships by Leil Lowndes (great book by the way). I've been trying to improve my communication skills a lot lately because I know how important it is in business in general.

Now, the book definitely goes into a lot of detail on how to improve your people skills - but to put it simply it's about making other people feel important and special. A big part of that is actively listening and remembering what's being said. Another important part is to remember peoples birthdays and making sure to get them gifts in time (I suck at this).

Because I love tech and doing everything on my smartphone, I thought it would be great if there was an easy way, like an app, too keep track of my IRL conversations and peoples special occasions. A relationship-maintaining app, if you will. Here's the concept in specifics:

Two main functions

*A calendar function to keep track of important dates such as birthdays, work-anniversaries, special holidays etc. By syncing to Facebook and LinkedIn, this can all be imported without the hassle of adding dates yourself. Custom notes and timely reminders will help you remember to buy that specific perfume for your loved one, or to send that congratulatory letter to your previous colleague. These dates can of course be manually added if needed.

*A note function to remember what people say and want. Let’s say your at a party and just finished talking to the most interesting person ever. You write down what you talked about, his favorite restaurant, sport, movie, or drink; whom she admires, where she grew up, a high school honor; or maybe a joke he told. In your next communication, toss off a reference to the favorite restaurant, sport, movie, drink, hometown, high school honor. Or reprieve the laugh over the great joke. That’s the power of remembering details, and can be great when networking.

I would love some feedback and ideas, it's just a concept so far. I would definitely use this app, the question is if anyone else would too.
