Is it possible to launch a website, but only keep it up for a month?

I am looking to create a website that gives sports betting advice. Running this website will be a tremendous amount of work since there will be multiple matches everyday (that I have to provide an analysis for). I would like to launch the website, keep it up for around a month, and see how much traffic I get. If its a decent amount, I figure I would keep it going and monetize it somehow (ads or subscription).

So my question: Is it possible to only buy a certain amount of hosting time on hosting sites? The sites I checked out (bluehost and wordpress) require a minimum subscription time of 1 year. If I do not feel like continuing the site, can I end the subscription after a month? I am very new to this, thanks for reading.
