I've been trying to think of something I could do during the summer on the side of my main job to make a little extra cash. First off I'm a 20 year old college student and during the summer and for the past 5 years I've work in turf care department at a golf course (Give or take 8 hrs everyday for 12 days on 2 off) and plan on continuing there unless I get another job during the next 4 years ill be in school. I get decent hours there but I've been looking for the past few years to start my own sort of small summer business and feel this is something I could do good at I have a great amount of experience in the turf care field especially as a student and I've always been told I do very good work. Anyways what I was wondering is how would I go about starting this up? I usually work at the golf course [Monday-Thursday 6am-2:30pm/ Friday 6am-12pm/ Weekends 6am-10am]changes depending on if tournaments are happening. I was thinking I could just organize with clients so that I could go over after work. I don't necessarily have all the tools but my dad owns some basic lawn care equipment ie: lawnmower, weed whacker. I was thinking I could even possibly source some inexpensive used tools on kijiji if I needed to. The only real problem I have is that I don't have my own car and my parents don't own a truck. So just thought I'd ask you guys how you think I could get this off the ground and surpass some obstacles?
