Next week i am meeting with an investor, i have an app idea which is in the same kind of(Ish) market as his. He currently has an app already covering the beverage market, and my idea is more about nightlife.
Anyway, when i go meet with him, it is unlikely he will sign an NDA, is there any other way i can protect my idea? Lets say we do the meeting and he tells me hes not interested and then implements some of my ideas into his current app/ creates a whole new app similar to my idea, how can i protect myself as much as possible?
Furthermore, as it is only an idea at the moment, i have no capital so he would be a seed investor. Realistically how much equity should i give to him. As i am not putting any capital in, i thought 50/50 as it would make him interested as he gets half the company, and also im not being greedy, however i have talked to other people and they have said 25/75 or even the other way around 75/25... just wondering your thoughts.
