Need help fleshing out a business idea

So I've been working as a canyoning guide around the world for the past several years and have made friendships and contacts with different canyoning guides and canyoning companies in several different countries.

Now I'm back in the US and my guiding days are coming to an end. But canyoning is a passion of mine and I would like to be involved with it as more than a hobby if I can.

So I thought of putting together a travel agency/adventure tour company that would book canyoning tours for people/groups at different locations around the world. I was thinking of having week-long packages or just one or two day trips that can be added to existing travel itineraries for people who will be in the area.

This is a very niche area. Most people have no idea what canyoning is. I'm not sure whether a tour booking company this specific is really needed. Couldn't existing travel agencies book these trips themselves for their client? Is this idea viable?
