Success has a lot to do with your sense of being Find out how to train yourself to make money and stay in tune with your mind, body and soul
Fist of all I want to say that I am 16 years old and I am primarily looking to run this business for the summer only. However, if it works out I will definitely be willing to work on it during the school year. Anyway, here is my business plan:
I live near the wealthiest town in my state. The houses there cost anywhere from 500 thousand, to 60 million. My plan is to sell drone footage of the homes to real estate agents.
I think that I will be purchasing a DJI Phantom 3 ($419) in order to do the job. The drone should be the only cost, as I already have the necessary video software and editing skills. I plan to use my bike in order to travel from one property to another.
I plan to charge $120 dollars per video. The usual cost charged by professionals is upwards of $300 per house. When a house is sold for million dollars, $120 should merely seem like an almost negligible cost for the average real estate agent agent in that area. In return, I will be adding value to to their sale and attracting potential clients. I have no doubt in my mind that this is a service that real estate agents in my area would buy, and a service that I can provide.
I will not be flying the drone over the actual houses, so despite my lack of drone flying experience I am not worried about potential damages (although I will definitely be practicing by myself anyway).
I am also planning on setting up a a simple website with information about my service and a sample video. The hosting for this on Host Gator will cost $10 a month.
My overall cost should be about $480 - 3 months of web hosting and the drone. Video editing will most likely take 4-8 hours per video. Thus, I should only have to do only 5 properties in order to break-even.
I am not the best in negotiating or speaking, so I plan to be using /u/Lowenhigh 's cold calling script which can be found here: http://ift.tt/1TsmGSM. Now I may be entirely wrong in utilizing that, but that seems like my best bet. If you have any advice on convincing real estate agents to work with a 16 year old I will be grateful for any advice.
Anyway, I am super excited as this will be my first business. Please criticize and advise me as much as you wish. All that I want to do is learn and get experience.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
