The real reason why you’re not successful: you’re not fully committed. What if there’s only ONE WAY?

Success has a lot to do with your sense of being Find out how to train yourself to make money and stay in tune with your mind, body and soul

These days I reflect a lot about my life and what I’ve done in the past to deserve the success I crave so much.

While I talk a good talk and say that I want to be successful, my actions simply don’t reflect it. I don’t put in the 12 hours of work every day to succeed. But why?

Honestly, I came to the conclusion that I didn’t go all in on my plan A.

I think it was Gary Vaynerchuk who said sth along the lines of ”if you’re thinking too much about plan B, you’re probably going to fail on your plan A”. I was always putting in so much time and effort into the plan B, mainly because I didn’t (or still don’t some days) believe in myself.

I’ve across an article that talks about something similar, the author calls it burn your boats and it starts with a story:

“A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision that ensured his success on the battlefield. He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own. He loaded his soldiers in the boats, sailed to the enemy’s country, unloaded soldiers and equipment, then gave the order to burn the ships that had carried them. Addressing his men before the first battle, he said, ‘you see the boats going up in smoke. That means we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win. We now have no choice. We win or we perish.’ They won. Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat. Only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win, essential to success.”

Obviously business isn’t necessarily life or death, but what if it were?

I think a lot about whether that type of hunger (the hunger to survive or rather succeed in this case) can be built or is just someone you’re born with.

Honestly I hope it’s something that can be learned, otherwise I’m screwed :)

The author argues that you have to go all in in order to make it successful, otherwise you’re just “dabbling” (that reminded me a lot of “if you’re business doesn’t make money, it’s a hobby, not a business”) and you can’t dabble your way to success.

Btw. I see a lot of ecommerce shop owners etc who also have a job and I think that’s perfectly fine if you have people depending on you. But if you’re on your own and still young + have dreams, why not go all in? I just don’t get it? What happened to skin in the game?

Anyways sorry for the rant, I think some will enjoy the story above. Here's the article if you’re interested.
