Success has a lot to do with your sense of being Find out how to train yourself to make money and stay in tune with your mind, body and soul
I've considered starting a small rental fleet on the Turo rideshare platform. I feel this would be a good way to make a couple hundred a month while I save/invest in other operations.
I've been considering this idea for a while since RelayRides came around, they were bought out by Turo about 2 years ago. It's not easy finding activity and financial information on people who have gone down this route. Usually I just find disgruntled users who complain due to their personal vehicles coming back beat up.
I recently came across an article that rekindled my want to pursue this. I currently live in Chicago IL where the market would be ideal. Right now I'm trying to figure out how I'd make something like this work logistically. I work full time, but would utilize the app to stuff like manage bookings and allow remote vehicle access (eliminate person to person contact).
The major issue I face at the moment is finding storage. I don't know how to approach local parking garages and pitch an idea like this to them. I've reached out to a few by email and phone. Email gets no response and phone I just get connected with the front line call centers. I want to partner with a garage who would allow in/out privileges with the understanding of multiple users sharing a vehicle.
Since the platform is relatively new and not heavily regulated yet, I feel it would be a good run for a while and with the way the sharing economy is moving right not it should be more than doable. They offer a $1 million commercial insurance policy, which isn't much, but better than nothing. I would set myself up under a corporation as an added shelter for liability. I would purchase vehicles with low costs per mile and price them in a similar manner.
Anyone every done something like this or have any thoughts? Looking for pros and cons on an idea like this. Any advice is appreciated.
