The AMA no one asked for but everyone in r/entrepreneur needs: I'll be your Armchair Psychotherapist.

Success has a lot to do with your sense of being Find out how to train yourself to make money and stay in tune with your mind, body and soul

I fully expect this to land flat on it's face, but let's try it:

I'm an experienced business owner with 2 (count 'em, 2!) successful exits. I've worked with SCORE and consulted for close friends and family.

Here's what I've learned: You're not stuck on an idea. You're stuck on yourself.

Hear me out...

Every struggling entrepreneur is failing for the same reason: Low emotional IQ. Wait - it's not what you think. I know it sounds like overhyped behavioral economic BS.

It's not.

Every time I've consulted with a first time entrepreneur, I've mistakenly gone in thinking strategically; I research their industry and value prop and price points, I look at their kpi's if they have any, I dissect their funnel, I try to find channels for better traction, etc.

BLAH.

Without fail, the problem is never strategic. It's emotional. It's self-inflicted.

People don't need a business manual, they need self-help. They need their hand held and told that it's going to be alright. That it's worth the leap, that their friends and loved ones will still be there with them on the other side.

We convince ourselves otherwise, but let's get real: In investing, your ability to detach your emotions from your actions is everything. Managing them and the mental models we unknowingly adhere to make us or break us.

Most of us believe we're smart. In reality, most are just smart enough to get ourselves into trouble by thinking and worrying and planning instead of taking action and learning.

So, instead of an AMA about me, let's help you get unstuck and actually taking action.

I'm not mining for product ideas or taking a survey. There will be no aff links, or book, or bs recommendations. Real talk.
