Success has a lot to do with your sense of being Find out how to train yourself to make money and stay in tune with your mind, body and soul
To give some background I am a manager at a financial firm. I enjoy finances and I love "crunching the numbers". I've been doing it in our family and have over 6 years already in the financial field.
My idea of a dream job is to work from home on my computer. To give that flexibility to be able to work anywhere I have a computer.
Here's my idea:
You go to my website and for $49.99 you send me all of your monthly bills and statement via email (or snail mail if you're old school). I then go through all of your bills, statements etc... and look for ways to save you money each month. If I am unable to save you at least $49.99 per month, I give a 100% refund, no questions asked. The service would be a win, win for the client. The 1st month I pay for myself and they save at least $49.99 per month there after. If I can't find ways to save them at least $49.99 per month, they get their refund.
I'm 99.99% positive I could save my average customer at least that per month, if not more. I know I could easily shave off $200+ per month of my own expenses without a sweat. I've done it for friends and family already too.
Here are a few examples of how I can save people money each month:
-
Most people have monthly fee's, subscriptions that they pay each month that they aren't even aware of most of the time. You'd be surprised how many people don't scan over their statement each month and just pay it.
-
I'd look through your cell phone statement. Are you paying for 10 gigs per month and only using 2 gigs? An easy $15, not to mention I'd look to see if there are better plans out there for you.
-
I'd do the same for internet and TV.
-
Monthly subscriptions. Could you trim some fat there? Are you really watching all those video subscriptions each month?
-
Are you paying high interest each month? I'd go over cheaper alternatives.
Once I grind through all the statements I'd then give the client a call or email outlining everything I found and ways to save each month.
I figure it'd take about an hour per client but once I get used to it, I could probably shorten it to 30 minutes per client.
My concern is that my clients would pretty much be one and done. Besides referrals, it wouldn't be something they continue to pay for. My thoughts on that is I would slowly start a money saving email-er that they sign up for on the site or that they are auto signed up for when they purchase the service. Eventually I could monetize on that mailer to get reoccurring revenue.
What are your thoughts, concerns or suggestions with this business idea?
Thanks!
