Long story short Chinese supplier screwed up and DHL now thinks I owe them $14,617.
Details (just got the invoice today):
Supplier shipped 208 pieces of product for a total value of $213, however they put the $213 into the wrong box so the subtotal value registered as $44,304.
DHL has listed on the invoice $14,177 for import duties, $286 for payment deferment, and $153 for merchandise processing.
Have you/your company run into this before and what is the best way to resolve this? I was all set to just send the shipping/customs documents and show DHL they made the mistake but in this case it was the supplier that screwed up.
I could really use the help - Thanks!
