Am I doing this math wrong? These numbers seem to make a software development startup completely unfeasible..

Here's my numbers...:

  • CEO = $35k/year

  • 3 Software Engineer's = $106k/year ($35k/year each)

  • Office Space for 4 people = $6,000/year

  • 4 work stations = $4,000

So thats $147k for yearly running costs adding on an extra $4k for buying all the equipment... and then there's the fact that it could easily be more than a year before your ready to release a product... and say you sell a product at $30 per unit, you'd need about 5,000 sales just to brake even.

How the heck am I supposed to finance this?
