Hi Guys, I have been lurking on here for a while and saw a few comments about not buying an MSP but perhaps starting one instead, so now I need some advice. I need to ask you guys for guidance, I have two individuals who are interested in starting an MSP with me. They are not technical and are interested in bringing funding while I setup the MSP and run it. They are interested in putting a 100k investment upfront. The question is I need guidance in how to setup the partnership. What do you think the owner ship split should be? I ask because I am new to the finance side of things and I don't want to seem greedy, I also don't want to be left out in the cold because I gave away too much in the beginning, I also don't want to be in a position where they can easily outvote me out of the company (they are partners from previous ventures) Let me know if you guys have any words of wisdom or guidance. *Edit: I think they are taking on more risk than I am because I am going to start running the MSP part time and later switch full time to it. Although I can I am not required to put any money in (as of yet). They will not be running the business. I will be tech and sales.
