Question about business name.

Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to help me out!

I am in the process of setting up a business selling camping equipment and I think I may have hit a little snag when it comes to my desired name. I looked on my states tradenames website and there is a company using the name I was planning. "Martech" is being used but the URL is available. If I were to set up as "Martech Industries" and then bought Martech.com would I face any legal issues?

I have searched and searched for information about this business and can not find much at all. Is there a way I can see if they are still in business and take the name is they are not?
