Vending machine business, is it profitable?

I was wondering if any of you have experience in the vending business and know how profitable it is.

If I were to do this at first I would purchase one pop machine and a second smaller candy machine. If I only had those two machines do you think it would even be worth it?

I have plenty of free time it would 100% be a side thing that I would eventually like to expand if its successful.

If you have any suggestions on how to go about getting started or you think its just not worth the time let me know, thanks.
