What paperwork do I need to start a clothing business in Minnesota?

Hello friends and family, so I am starting a clothing brand but I want to make sure I am going about filing for my business in the right way. Should I file as an LLC? Are there state and federal licenses that I need to get? Please fill me in on my ignorance.
