working on a book for commercial focused APIs would love some thoughts

I'm currently working on a book for commercial focused APIs. I'm a developer and while there are always a lot of little snippets of code, I thought a larger cook book with working examples would be a great addition. I'm currently exploring APIs that might be useful that I can give a nice walk through and have come up with a list and I'd love to see what you guys think, if some don't need to be there or if I missed some, I'd love to hear it. Basically, what tools do you need to operate or wish you had?

  • Google Analytics
  • Amazon
  • Ebay
  • Paypal
  • Alexa.com
  • Authorize.net
  • Comscore (need to check on what kind of API they have)

I'm still looking at a few others as well and debating on if they're social APIs or Commercial focused. I'm currently half way through the social version of this book and started bouncing back and fourth on the slower chapters to break things up. I'd like to add some productivity tools, but I'm not sure what ones are more commonly used. I know there are some that get a lot of hype, they they always seem to have a short shelf life... slack, basecamp, etc. What do you guys think? I'd love some feedback.
