Creating an App with an app-building service rather than a developer. What should I expect?

Success has a lot to do with your sense of being Find out how to train yourself to make money and stay in tune with your mind, body and soul

Hello there!

I'll (try to) keep this short and sweet. I have begun designing an app that I am very confident in. I have done (and am always still doing!) my research on the problem it solves, the concept, the market, the competition, user base, and much much more.

I plan on having a developer properly code it as I have no programming experience. To save a lot of the back and forth between creator and programmer, I have been using PowerPoint 2016 (surprisingly advanced) to create a mock-up "demo" of the app. It displays every single screen you would see, with all proper colors, fonts, buttons, animations, and even hyperlinks so many buttons will bring you to the appropriate pages. It's essentially a prototype.

Before I go and spend thousands on development, I have seriously considered doing it myself. Now, like I said earlier, I don't have any coding experience and I do not have the time to go learn it now.

I have come across a variety of app creation programs, both online, and downloadable.

Some that stand out are:

Bubble.is

appypie.com

appmakr.com

and several others in this Mashable (sort of click-baity) article

My questions for all of you are the following

Does anyone here have any experience with any of these programs or similar ones?

Do you foresee these type of solutions being able to manage more complex apps? Mine is not so much an Angry Birds or a Calorie Counter, but more adaptive and customizable like a Pandora or Lumosity.

If I create an MVP with one of these, do you imagine it would be easy to hand over to a freelancer/developer for them to use their own software on if I want/need to contract out for a particular feature or update?

The last one is my main reason for coming here. I don't mind putting my time into one of these choices, but I would be crushed to find a dead-end where the software can't create a feature I want, and it doesn't translate to a developers system properly.

Forgive my ignorance on the topic of development. I have lurked in here for a while and I find this to be a wonderful and supportive community so I hope someone can really help!

Thank you for reading.
