Do i need to start a business entity? (Canada, ON)

I want to start a service where i send out contractors to mow the lawn or shovel snow to peoples houses. I will have a website and clients will pay on my website via credit card and i will send out contractors to do the job.
Do i need to register as a business?
Do i need some kind of insurance?
Do i need to send my workers some kind of tax receipts or something?
Im not sure how the business/legal aspect of running a service like this look, what are some things i need to look into doing before i can legally do this?
