I'm a bartender and have hosted trivia several times. About once a month, we have a unique trivia night that packs the bar. We've done Simpsons trivia, Star Wars, Rick and Morty, and Harry Potter. This has proven to fill the bar to capacity each and every time.
After trying a few different formats I think I've found one that I really like and can apply to pretty much everything pop culture. Since I enjoy making trivia, and there are tons of topics out there, I thought why not expand beyond my bar and see if I can market and sell this to other bars - which is where the question of licensing comes in.
If I'm selling GAME OF THRONES questions and answers, do I need to worry about licensing the name?
Also, I'd like to do 'Name that Character' where a picture of the character (Ideally just a screencap from the show) is shown as well. Will this be a licensing issue?
It'll be up to the bars to make their signage, and actually have viewings of the show.
Thanks for the advise.
