What do you think of this idea?

I'm in Europe so maybe a bit different to what happens in the states but my idea is this:

A site that aggregates news and journalists to display what you want to see.

My thought behind this:

For example, during the soccer transfer window period there are transfer rumours. Some journalists are more reliable than others. So wouldn't it be cool I thought if you could aggregate a number of different reliable journalists articles from different newspapers and only see the reliable rumours.

This then led me to thinking of further out. Some newspapers have some great journalists but the newspaper themselves are rubbish. An example of this might be the daily mail in the UK. There may be one journalist who is very good but the paper overall is tabloid rubbish.

The idea would be you can select what you want to see, what journalists articles you want to see, what topics you want to see, what type of articles (reviews, opinions etc)

I suppose the idea would be to have the headline posted on the site with a link to the source.

Advertising would be the sole revenue stream but not sure if it would be viable.

Your thoughts?
