New take on selling second hand goods instead of eBay. Will this work?

Success has a lot to do with your sense of being Find out how to train yourself to make money and stay in tune with your mind, body and soul

My brother wants to sell some of his stuff on eBay as he's moving abroad but can't be bothered dealing with buyers himself, posting/arranging delivery, reviews/feedback, etc and an idea dawned on me. What if I rented a warehouse space/showroom, allowed people to bring their goods for sale along to me. There is no charge at this stage but I agree a minimum 'sold' figure with the seller that they will want for the item but I can put any price on the goods I want. If the item isn't sold within 4 weeks the seller can either take it back home and sell it themselves or leave it with me (because they can't be bothered with the hassle) and I will sell it and keep all of the sale fee. I figured people hate the hassle of eBay and yet they could drop the stuff off to me, I do the work, they could potentially sell their item and if not, they can take it back or leave it with me. What are the pitfalls of this? Legally would there be an issue if I took the goods after 4 weeks?
