I'm a little frustrated with upwork from both client and freelancer perspective. Wanted to see if anyone else had different experiences.
As a client, I post a job and %90 of the candidates are just copy-paste proposals. It's a freelancer site so I get that, but when you start talking to the candidates, you see they are very underqualified and just know how to edit wordpress, magento and alike. Am I cursed because I am very technical and I ask very in-depth questions and unable to get answers? Are most of the good developers already full time employed and freelancer market is mediocre? I don't know.
From the freelancer perspective. Sometimes I bid on jobs, and I write customized proposals detailing how to approach their problems and I get maybe 1 response out of 30. And I am pretty sure with all the copy paste going on, my proposal should have stuck out :)
How was your experience?
